The loops on the reverse are sturdy and hold the holster firmly on and against the trouser belt. Its a snug fit and does not move about. It is easy to forget you are wearing it. The holster is strong, rigid and durable, It will hold the fixed bladed knife quite safely with blade extended as well as the retractable folding knife. If using the latter, it would be useful to pack the bottom with foam or other detritus in order that the handle of the retractable can be grasped and removed easily.
