## Description

DRI Sleeper Eclipse Wireless Bedwetting Alarm - Enuresis Solution for Children : desertcart.co.uk: Health & Personal Care

Review: It actually works! - I rarely write reviews but I am so thrilled with the results of this alarm that I wanted to share our experience to hopefully help other families. When my son turned 9 and was still wet every night (never had a dry night) I was starting to worry that it would never happen. I kept waiting and hoping for the magical hormone I’d read about to kick in.... I had heard about bed wetting alarms but from my limited understanding of them, I associated them with the saying about the horse bolting and the stable door! It wasn’t until I heard of a friend using it with her daughter and the success they had, that I decided to give it a try. I only wish I had researched it more thoroughly sooner because it worked for my son after 12 nights. At bed time we practised what he needed to do when the alarm went off. We also had a mantra about where he wees and where he doesn’t wee! We cut a small slit in his pull up and wrapped the sensor in a sheet of toilet paper and inserted it into the pull up. The first few nights were hard - the alarm went off 4 times in the early days, it was like having a newborn again! The alarm is loud, I was worried it might disturb the entire house, but surprisingly it didn’t - I guess it depends on how deeply everyone sleeps. I knew my son was a heavy sleeper, but I couldn’t believe that on some occasions he would not even stir when this alarm was going off right next to him! The idea is that they have to turn the alarm off themselves so I’m there next to his bed calling his name! He’d then eventually turn it off and while usually he would then, bleary eye-ed, get up and do what he needed to do, there were also a couple of times he’d roll over and go back to sleep. Fortunately I was standing there to ensure that this didn’t often happen! Each night we noted down the times that the alarm would go off. This helped because the next morning it was hard to recall the nighttime activities. It also meant we could see progress. The first few nights, it would go off 3 or 4 times, then twice or once a night, and finally by the 12th night - not at all! We were delighted, my son in particular was so proud of himself. After a week or so with the alarm not going off, we stopped using it. It’s been 6 weeks now with no accidents. He either wakes up to go the toilet or he holds on until the morning. One thing I would say is to be consistent and to have faith. Those initial nights were hard and I wanted a crystal ball to tell me it would be worth it in the end. Don’t give up, your child WILL get there but consistency is important. I had no idea that the brain and bladder connection was so important. This is by far the best £100 I have ever spent!
Review: Don't waste your money - Great at the start and we were beginning to get somewhere but then the sensor stopped working as it should. It would go off when he was dry and not work when he was wet, it was terribly inconsistent. We returned and got a replacement and the same thing happened with the second one. It was incredibly frustrating for my child being woken when he was dry and then waking up wet in the morning because the alarm hadn't went off. For such an expensive product I expected at the very least for it to work properly. Extremely disappointing for both the parent and child.

## Features

- WIRELESS BEDWETTING ALARM for children age 4 to 14. Children stay comfortable with the small, safe, wireless moisture sensor.
- COMFORTABLE FOR KIDS, the thin, light, cord-free urine sensor inserts in a child’s underwear or diaper. The plastic-coated sensor has no metal parts which means no skin irritations.
- BEDWETTING ALARM FOR CHILDREN - this wireless, battery-powered bedwetting alarm for kids (battery included) can be near the child or with a parent up to 40 feet (12 metres) away.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works
*by D***D on 25 August 2022*

First off - it has worked for out boy Aged 9, nearly 10 and i would say its only taken around 2 weeks but we saw huge improvements right form night 1. I was extremely skeptical because he has been a consistent wetter with ZERO dry nights. None. He's also a bloody good sleeper. 11 hours is typical and he's a wriggly little bugger as well. Needless to say we had tried all the obvious solutions, cutting down on fluids, waking him etc etc but there was no consistency to the time when his dormant, heavily slumbered body would choose to expel the pee. And when we woke him we could've been crashing symbols next to his ears and he wouldn't be phased. I couldn't see how a beeping alarm would wake him, never-mind help condition his brain/body to handle itself. The first 3, 4 nights there was some output, but no huge drama, managed to get up and to the toilet, change of undies etc... but importantly no bed changing !!!! I'd heard the machine quite easily and i had been sleeping on the living room floor downstairs ( house was baking hot a few weeks ago ) So i sprinted upstairs to help 'enthuse' him. Even with the few spillages in the first few days this was already a huge leap forward. After a week we were then going on holiday for a fortnight overseas, with a family room, so we could really help him get a handle on springing up and going to the toilet. But it wasn't really needed. By end of week 2 of ownership, 1st week of holiday, he was managing that quite well now himself and there had been no spillages for a full week. He was really happy about it. It probably helped in that we were away on holiday and we were letting him stay up really quite late but conversely, we were letting him drink more than he would usually at home. Back home, the 3rd week of the school holls was spent with Grandparents at their house and he was dry every single night and even better he was now waking up BEFORE the alarm had chance to go off. Hallelujah. Real progress. Some nights we wernt hearing the alarm at all. Just the toilet flush !! And finally - 4 - 5 weeks of having the device and hes starting to have nights where he doesn't even get up to go to the toilet. We cant believe it as he was pretty much drenched every single night prior to this. Even using Teen pulls ups could not contain his output and it was bedding change every single day. We're still using it, as hes still all over the place staying at home, away with different grandparents, at our holiday lodge on weekends - so loads of different bedrooms etc... so its a belt and braces tool for us right now but i don't think it will be long before he can surrender it - which hes asking to do actually. BTW having tried 2 sets of undies and sandwiching it between them we finally settled on the 'liner' approach which worked an absolute treat. i cannot recommend this product enough. And in fact have done to some good friends who's daughter is struggling. If i had to find fault - it is a bit on the pricey side. I design electronics and i know the bill of materials cost for this must be very low so there is significant mark up. BUT i am not begrudging the DRI Sleeper team that at all. Absolutely not. I'm jealous i don't have the patent. Its changed our lives might sound a bit dramatic but its true. I'm kicking myself for not trying this earlier. Good luck everybody. I hope it works for you. Positive engagement with your child before and during your first few nights will really help. Happy Family - North Yorkshire.
