According to what I read you must use the correct compact flash cards or the VP9000 will not be able to use it. Seems it is more about the type of compact flash card than the actual IDE to CF adaptor. After reading deeper into the forums I ended up getting two "Transcend CF80 1GB Industrial" CompactFlash cards. I seem to remember the "Industrial" type is the key to making it work. Having said all that I have not actually got around to installing and testing in my VP9000 as I actually like using the ZIP to transfer to and from my PC.
