Is exactly that. Calmex Which contains a natural herb called Piper Methysticum which is a natural calmant.Our Daisy May is nearly 12 years old, she was dumped at our local CPL she had acute Psycogenic Alopecia otherwise Overgrooming. As Daisy was so traumatized she has Separation Anxiety & Noise Phobia. She actually pulls her fur out and has drawn blood at times. She has her Calmex 1+1/2ml with her breakfast and tea. We mix it in her kibbles. She has got used to it now over 18 months, and her Feliway goes on as and when we go out. If Daisy misses her Calmex or we run out, she starts losing her fur through overgrooming, licking her fur over and over again sometimes for 5 mins at a time. But the Calmex is a God Send and worked at least after about a week or less. We were advised by Daisy's vet to administer her Calmex and dosage. So please always get advise from your vet before giving your cat or dog Calmex. I think its stress related.** A: I didn't think nuetered female cats would spray but unfortunately mine does. I was almost giving up on her because she was obviously stressed but there seemed to be no reason for where or when she did it. That made it very difficult to deal with. None of the plug-ins helped but Calmex does. She immediately became more relaxed & a much happier cat. The spraying has almost stopped; it's now only very occasional instead of every day. Definitely recommend will be buying again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mild But good for a stressed cat *by K***R on 16 June 2026* Mild Just one stage down Good for Halloween or other stressful times ### ⭐⭐⭐ Reduced licking but expensive. *by E***D on 24 October 2025* This was suggested by the vet to help with continuous licking and general calmness for the cat as he tends to be a bit aggressive towards my other cats - he's the last one in I've taken in (a fairly domesticated ex-feral). He readily ate the paste mixed in the food, yes, a bit on the thick side, but it wasn't a problem. The licking has reduced but I don't know if it's becuase of the plug-ins I have in as well. Not sure if it's a coincidence. This bottle will only last 2 weeks (as he's over 4.5kg in weight - under 4.5kg, the dose is halved) so it's a bit pricey to use daily. As for the aggression, I haven't noticed a noteable change.
