We offer high quality graphite rods here.This is high-purity graphite material.Purity: at least 99.8 %.T - stable in air up to ~ 300 °C, oxygen-free atmosphere up to over 800 °C.Graphite rods are made from a mixture of carbon and binder (tar + pitch) by extrusion.This is a supersaturated mixture, i.e. a high binder content so that it can be extruded.Subsequently, the extruded rods (green compacts) are subjected to an annealing process.In this case, the binder converts into binding coke by pyrolysis, ie elimination of the volatile constituents.Therefore, there is always some porosity (pore volume ~ 30%).Therefore, the bars are not always perfectly round because of the high annealing temperature >1000 °C.Graphite is a very good conductor of heat and electricity.The product is ideal for electrical engineering, hobby, etc.The rods are easy to work on in the form of saws, files etc.
