I wish I would have know because I now have two spares. Didn't know and I ordered one for my indoor and outdoor cameras and they both came with a sync module. I ordered indoor refurbs, they came with a sync module and the cameras look like new. You can't go wrong. **Q: Will sounds set this off? Or only motion? Can it be used as a baby monitor?** A: they only use motion detection so I wouldn't use it as a baby monitor. **Q: Can link these with other existing blink cameras an older version?** A: Yes you can. I have other cameras (outdoors). **Q: Does this work fully on Iphone app if you have no Alexa. If you do not need older videos, is there any necessity for Blink subscription?** A: Yes fully on iPhone. I do not have it linked to Alexa. No - if you don’t want off site storage you do not need a subscription. With the sync module you can have no subscription and on site backup to your sd card plugged into the sync device. These were easy to hook up to WiFi, almost automatic. I didn’t hang man but just sat them on tables and counters. Clear video. I’d suggest to storage that costs extra. You can use a plug in Zip drive, but if you are broken into, they could steal that. Love the convenience of setting up from elsewhere. Storage is great if you buy the offsite storage or is as much as you want with a Zip drive.Motion detection works well. No noted delay .
