It managed it but it was slow as time went on. Eventually, I used the bit to score it and then broke it along the line. I then cut a few tiles with it a few months later. Sailed through them. They were fairly soft glazed tiles. Most recently I used it to remove grout from the shower. I managed the whole shower and it did a really neat job. You probably would need to be careful if the tile was glazed/soft. Absolute cracker of a blade to have in the arsenal and no signs significant wear. Hopefully will last years more. Worth the outlay. It says on the packaging that it cuts tiles including Porcelain ones. IT DOESN'T DO THE JOB. IT IS NOT FIT FOR THE PURPOSE. In fact I couldn't even get this to mark the surface of the tile! I could NOT possibly recommend this product. Worst blade I have come across from Dewalt.
