I'm not sure how, but if my feet hurt, they feel better after wearing them. They also help with sleep. I find it easier to nod off on the nights I wear them. This brand has consistently been my favorite because they smell nice (other brands smell like a BBQ joint! 😄) and don't leave a tough residue from the adhesive. Wash feet in the a.m...you're done.
