This worked great as a replacement and lets me connect the filter media back to the cold air inlet on the fender of my 2004 Tacoma. I will add that I'm not the biggest fan of these modular intake systems you can build, particularly since they can leak air and cause your AF ratio to run lean, this causing your ECU to start throwing codes. I wanted to add a second battery to my 2004 3.4L Tacoma though, and removing the stock intake was the only way I could create room for an auxiliary battery.
