What I do know now is that they work great in a washing machine to get rid of a bio-funk stank in my rental apartment. I saw “drum cleaning” and ran with it. This was like the 10th product I had tried on top of bleach, vinegar, etc.. in prior attempts to get rid of the stank funk my machine would create when run. I put it in, stopped the cycle when it was full and agitated, let it sit 4 hours, finished the cycle, and then ran an empty cycle to make sure everything was rinsed. It dramatically reduced the funky stank.
