Better to sand/file down the angled faces of the dovetail for easier install. I had to mount the slide on my bench vise and pound this mount on using a steel punch. Dinged the side of the mount but it’s on there real good. It does look a little funny mounted because there is a gap between the front of the mount and the top of the slide but it works so whatever. Off by a mm. *by J***Y on March 27, 2026* I read all of the reviews about this site mount for a 1911 gun and most of the reviews said that there was minor adjustments that needed to be done. I needed to take out my grinder and takeoff a couple of millimeters so that it would fit into the rear dovetail. After that, it fit very snug I still used the set screw and the sight that I used fit perfectly.
