I was going to sit it in the shelf however I wanted easy access to it, and I have a half barrel in the way. Plus cold air sinks so having it lower is better. The hose is long enough to reach about 3” from the top of the tower and dangle the fan box about 3” off the floor. My co2 tank is installed inside so I had plenty of room to install power cord through co2 hose port on kegerator. Fan isn’t the quietest but in my basement bar there are always tuned going or the TV and it’s pretty much a non-issue. **Q: will this also help circulate the air inside the kegerator?** A: Yes, it does. I designed it with air diffusers on the back cover for two reasons. There is always going to be some residual air inside the box from the blower. The air diffusers allow residual air to escape, making the tower cooler much quieter, and providing air circulation inside the kegerator. **Q: I have a deep freeze kegerator, goes to 32 degrees, i just bought it, the beer is colder than my former kegerator. Will this make the beer even colder** A: You want beer temping at 38-42 degrees any colder you loose the aroma, any warmer then 44 you start to encounter foaming. all this product does is prevent a warm air pocket from forming in the top of your towers **Q: Will this work if I need to run a longer line (5 ft) to a wall tap?
