No instructions provided; this could be a problem if you are not familiar with radio controlled clocks and do not know that they have a mind of their own! The basic method is to fit the battery, put it near a north facing window, watch it do it's thing and leave it alone overnight: in the morning it will have picked up the radio signal and set itself (usually). Sometimes complications do arise, so instructions should really be included. Otherwise a good clear and accurate clock that will set itself when the clocks go forward and back. Use a good AA battery and it shold easily run for more than one year without any attention, but keep it a few feet from any electronic devices that might generate radio interference. A good buy.

A: it sets itself.
Put the battery in and leave the clock as high up near a window as is practical and within a short period it will set itself. This is how the clock checks itself and resets on a time signal at about 2.am  every 2 or 3 days.

**Q: Does this clock work in Spain?**
A: Don't think it will too far from UK transmitter

**Q: Is it silent?**
A: Yes.  The only time mine has ever made a sound was when the battery needed changing and it made a very quiet tick for about 60 seconds.

Picked up radio and set itself within perhaps 5 minutes. Not the smooth running second hand of other Acctim quiet clocks, and not as quiet as those are. Came with a couple of scratches to the front perspex. I let it slide, but it's annoying. Why no film on the perspex?
