The volume is the same but the old jar will not fit the new outer container. Just follow the instructions on the packet of powder and check that the contents are not out of date. Does the job i required it to do, use in my easiyo maker. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the old design *by S***I on 25 February 2019* I have an old Easiyo that I've had for many years, and decided to buy a new one as the plastic around the lid of the old one was starting to deteriorate. I was highly delighted when the new one arrived as the design is much improved. The wider, shorter jar is so much easier to use, to get the yoghurt out. It fits in the fridge better, and also, it is rounded at the bottom so that you don't get any yoghurt trapped like in the old style jars. My only gripe is that you can't buy the large jar on its own, but only with the 2 small ones, which I don't use in the Easiyo - I am using them to store other stuff but don't really need them. This is why I'm only giving 4 stars. I am ordering another set because it's useful to have several on the go.
