Review: Excellent pen/ cartridge brand choice - Great refills. I’ve been using these reusable pens/ cartridges for years now. Never an issue with the pen or the cartridges. They’re excellent as they last for ages and the pen is lovely to write with. If you write a lot on your job these work well. They don’t strain the hand/wrist and you don’t need to press to write as the ink flows freely.
Review: Only and the Best Sustainable on-the-go Pen - This is an absolute no-waste winner of a pen, due to its cartridge system. Although it says you can't use fountain pen ik, it appears to me that fountain non-wet inks could be used to fill the cartridge and keep using it. It doesn't bleed through the most porous of paper. It's so convenient and admirable for all the fountain pen users who need a pen for on-the-go use. Has typical pilot pencil kind of feedback and obviously doesn't look the best with its plastic body and big text, but definitely writes well. The only better version of this pen would be if Pilot sells the ink for it.

**Q: is this a pen and refills .... or just refills ?**
A: 1 pen and 3 refills, so 4 cartridges in all

**Q: Does the ink last for long?**
A: This may not be helpful, but the ink lasts around half as long as in a non-refill pilot pen. I've hade mine for a couple of months and, so far, I'm only on the second cartridge.

**Q: is the ink in the cartridge identical to that of the originalpilot v5? Im thinking of just refilling the original with this ink.**
A: You can't re-fill the original throwaway versions. Being honest I prefer to write with the older style ones and they have a lot more ink capacity than the cartridge versions. If you like the original throwaway version I would buy them

**Q: Pen is good, when it came to changing the refills - they clip in well but the ink does not flow to the nib of the pen.   What am i doing wrong?**
A: Gently squeeze the refill a couple of times - then scribble on a piece of paper. If unsuccessful, repeat the process until the ink flows.

Great refills. I’ve been using these reusable pens/ cartridges for years now. Never an issue with the pen or the cartridges. They’re excellent as they last for ages and the pen is lovely to write with. If you write a lot on your job these work well. They don’t strain the hand/wrist and you don’t need to press to write as the ink flows freely.
