Fantastic game.  I never had a chance to play Glory to Rome, but this seems to capture its spirit well.  Relatively easy to teach - especially to folks who are regular gamers - and it seems like it won't get stale on repeat plays (I've played about 6-7 times in the past couple weeks and I'm still enjoying it)

Great game. It's replaced the mythical Glory to Rome for me. If you like a massive decision space condensed into a deck of cards, this is the game for you.
