The game involves dancing to songs and performing moves like shown by the character on the screen with the Wii remote in your right hand. You get points for timing and how much energy you put into the moves, but getting high scores is only part of the fun. This is a great game to play with friends or family as you can all laugh as your trying to pull off the moves as shown on screen, somehow in your head you think you are doing it better than you look! Just remember to try and do all the leg movements as well as this makes the whole experience even more fun. It also helps with you in getting a workout. I like the fact as well that more than one person can take part at a time with multiple controllers so you can both try and out dance each other, or in some cases take part in a duet, which can be very funny, just make sure you have plenty of room. The game play in this version seems to be not as accurate as Just Dance 4, with some hand movements not registering as well, but this does not take away from the fun at all. The song choices are very good, with lots of different types of music from pop, rock, world, hip-hop, 80s, 70s, 90s with a few more recent artists, there are also some real cheesy tunes like Bony M - Rasputin, or the classic 80s tune Walk Like An Egyptian, great fun for those who grew up in the 80s. The styling and graphics of the game are good for the Wii, but I don't think they matter that much for this type of game. The user interface is simple and effective and the backgrounds whilst on a song are really fun and clever, the neon dancers look great too. The dance battle mode is very fun as well with; Simon says, race, duet, medely and dance. Simon says is basically having to spin, clap or stop when told too which is my faviout. Race is who can get to 4000 points first Medley is 5 songs that switch randomly. So you could be dancing to Monster Mash and it will change to Wham. I will warn you though!! this game has NO PRATICE MODE or anything to get you started up. You just jump straight into the dance. So don't be disheartened if you can't do it at first. Over all this game is a must have for any party with it's 8 player function and is a great game for all ages.
