Busted this thing out for drill back in December and it was approximately 25 degrees out. The bag is sturdy and seems like it will be very durable. This bag was clearly designed to stand up to the abuse of military use where other bags will fall apart rather quickly. The zipper is very durable, just like those on issued military bags. The bag was insanely warm. The rating listed for the Recon 5 are accurate. If you are sleeping in an area where the temp isn't that low then you will end up sleeping with the zipper all the way open or use this as a blanket so you don’t get too hot. In 25* weather with an issued ISO mat this bag kept me COZY. Not okay, not good enough, COZY. We ended up spending the last night of drill in a building that was approx 40* and I couldn’t even zip this thing, it was too warm.
