**Q: What liquid is used for the dampening medium?**
A: Address the manufacturer for the answer.  60 meters underwater I wouldn’t trust, you need to spend more money for that range.  Short dives AOK.  Hope this helps

**Q: Is this Northern or Southern hemisphere balanced? Or does it have a global balancing system?**
A: Honestly, I'm not sure. This is a very simple compass.
