The scales seem of good quality, come nicely packaged in a nice box, and come with 4 aa batteries which is what it uses to power the unit. I downloaded the iHomon app from the android store - they connected with the scales very easily and now keep track of my readings and progress. Scales are very simple - stand on them, get your weight in about 3 seconds, wait another 8 seconds and they will tell you your body fat. The only thing with mine is they are saying I am at slightly high body fat and low muscle - I am not sure on how accurate that part of it is, as I am built very much the other way around! The battery compartment is not waterproof. *by S***D on 18 September 2017* The scale has a pleasant design with glass footplate,, the App needed, IHomon, is a struggle to down load as it comes from an unverified source so the necessary security has to be turned off before the phone will accept it. there is a choice between Kilos, Pounds or Stones to view your weight but the stones are decimalised and seeing 13st 77lb, looks a bit odd to my imperial brain. So every time I stand on the scale out comes the calculator regardless, to work out what kilos equate too. dividing the pounds by 14, or working out what is the actual weight of 13st .77 ? or what is .77 of a Stone.., hence the 2 stars. Now after 30 days its a bit of a pig. Dividing the lbs by 14 does not work, so downloading a chart is the only way. The scales need to be rebooted taking batteries out then replace for BT connection, Plus compared with gym scale, my BMI is the same 27.6, but body fat, Ihomon 30.04%,., Gym, 19.7% quite a difference, Water, bone mass, and the rest though not to much of a difference. After 2 months these scales are not for the bathroom. The battery compartment is not waterproof.
