A: These cool packs are not liquid until you hit them to break whatever it is inside them.If you’re carrying them in hand luggage they wouldn’t be classed as liquid.Hope this helps.

A: Probably a few years shelf life

**Q: How do I make the pack go cold?**
A: Squeeze the pack until you hear a 'pop' inside the sachet. Don't worry, it needs a fair bit of pressure but is quite safe.

Why did you choose this product over others?: This is an absolute lifesaver for someone with Eczema, when I get hot at night and I start scratching, I don't want to use a fan as it drires my skin up. This instantly cools me down, saves me from going and getting an ice pack from downstairs in the freezer. I keep these on my bed near me and when I need them, I'll just pop them. You do instantly feel the relief from the instant cooling pack. I'd say the cold feeling lasts a good ten minutes, which for me is enough to do the job in cooling me down and allow me to sleep. I always take this out with me in my handbag. It does get pricey in the long run.Using this everyday over a ice pack from the freezer, but it's the convenience you're paying for

I bought these for warming up my sleeping bag before bed time when I cannot use a hot water bottle. They get hot, but not as hot as the handwarmers and they don't hold the heat more than 30 minutes. Just as expected and perfectly adequate for what I want them for. And a plus compared to handwarmers is that these do not need oxygen to work and they reach top temperature within seconds. The minus are the misleading user instructions. I could not get the inner bag to burst and release the reactant liquid just by squeezing it. I had to lay it on the table and punch it. Mind you, I didn't punch it hard and recommend to do it only on a wipe-clean surface in case it bursts completely and splashes all over the place. Once I figured out how to activate them they are an excellent product. Also unlike some others brands, as they are hard to activate they are unlikely to do so when you don't want them to.
