**Q: I have a very old meter box.surface mounted,and the door opens downwards.Would this kit be any good to repair same.**

**Q: Our old one is broken and still in place with door locked ( the triangle is just worn off ) how do we get in to remove old one please ?**
A: This is what happened to me. I got out my electric drill with a bit just smaller than the triangle and then carefully drilled in the centre of what was left of the triangle and eventually the triangle disintegrated so that the bolt part dropped off inside the box and I could open it. You will not harm any party other than what you get in the pack to replace them so do not worry.

**Q: does it actually come with all the parts in the picture?  I need the hinges more than i need the lock and key.  No mention of hinges in description**
A: Sadly the two packs I received did not contain the hinge parts i expected.

**Q: The lock of my meter box has broken would it fit to any meter box?**
A: Mine was a standard external Gas Meter box and it fitted mine just fine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the orginal

A clumsy tradesman sheared off most of the shaft that the key fits on, making it impossible to get into the cupboard. One I had found a way in, it was the the work of a moment to replace the catch and reattach the spring.Now it works fine and I have a spare meter box key into the bargain.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Arrived a lot quicker than estimated

Arrived quicker than estimated by post. All I really needed was a hinge pin. The hinge pin was easy to fit and install. There is one straight metal pin in the box which did not appear to fit anything. Expensive for one hinge pin but a lot cheaper than a new door.
