When reading this review please bear in mind this is not the only component of my PC and you might not get the same outcome as me if your using a 10 year old processor. my current PC as is follows Intel i7 4790k 16GB DDR3 RAM GTX 960 2GB 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD 120GB Kingston SSD If your a CSGO player and wondering what frame rates you will be looking at with this card I play 1920x1080 or 1440x1080 and get around 300-400 fps even more at times depending on the map with settings turned up high, games like World of Warcraft I do not know the exact rates but they are high and stable and you will not need to worry about messing on with graphics options when playing most titles even new AAA ones as you will be able to just install the game and play. Pros -Amazing Performance and possibly get GPU Price per performance at the moment -Runs quiet and cool, even under load -Simple installation -Comes with DVI-VGA converter for people who need it Neutral -This Card is quite big and bulky but will still fit in a micro atx case but its still not small so its neither a pro or con Cons -There will be cons but I havent noticed them yet, will edit if I find any
Review: Very Cool & Quiet - Although the unit I purchased turned out defective, I was still able to observe how good this card is during the short time I had used it. Gaming Performance: This card is aimed at 1080p use, and it performs very well. It's 40-50% slower than the GTX 970, but it's half the price and would serve those wishing to play most newly released games on high setting. The limited bandwidth (the amount of data that can flow at any given time) means that this card may not stay the entirety of its intended life cycle. The 2GB VRAM argument also something to consider, however this card will run out of graphical grunt before it saturates above 2GB VRAM in most cases. These are things that must be considered as the GTX 970 may be a better buy with regards to longevity. Noise: This card is extremely silent. At full load, the fans spin at 800rpm, which is virtually silent. Compared with my old R9 270, which ran at 2,200rpm, this feels like a much welcome addition. When idling, the card emits no noise and the fans do not spin. For those seeking absolute silence, look no further than this card. Heat: Heat is a massive issue with graphics cards. My R9 290 used to reach 82c when at full load in my mini itx system. I'm happy to report this card in the same case reached only 63c while providing more graphical horsepower and making less noise. Drawbacks: -Limited bandwidth may hinder future games -2GB Ram may be an issue (although unlikely) - Card is very long -Coil whine may be present Conclusion: This card performs well for the price, but is exceptional in how little noise and heat it emits. If you're looking for the coolest and quiestest card available, look no further than the MSI GTX 960. This is a solid mid-range card and performs better in games than my AMD R9 270. This is not just down to more graphical power, but because of the excellent driver support from Nvidia.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After 1 Year
*by T***M on 10 July 2016*

Well! My baby is officially one year old this month. Just to clarify, this is a review for the Gtx 960 2gb model, as reviews appear for multiple cards under this entry. The 960 is not the performance standard for the 900 series. The 970 is widely regarded as the best balance of price and performance, but when I built my PC I could afford only a 960. I was down about this at the time, but I have to say I was wrong. The NVIDIA benchmark for my card is considerably higher than the average I've found online, so I think MSI have done a very good job with a less powerful card. The long and the short of it is: - The card looks extremely pretty in person. - You will play most games on high/ultra settings and achieve 50-60 fps, but you'll have to play new/especially demanding games on marginally lower settings. - DOOM (2016) looks AMAZING with this card and hits 60fps all day. - You won't break the bank. - At this point (July 2016) you may as well wait for the 980 to drop in price or save for a 1080/1070. Overall, I would recommend this card for anyone starting out with PC gaming on a budget, especially if (like me) you've been away from PC gaming for a while and have some older titles to catch up on. Modern classics like Bioshock Infinite (best game ever, btw) or Rome 2 Total War were beyond my reach for a long time and I have had an amazing year playing through many of them on ultra everything with my trusty 960. I'll save for a 1080 when I want to upgrade from this card (Star Citizen, anyone?), but I'm in no rush because MSI have done an outstanding job with this card. They've certainly made me a customer for life.
