**Q: For a typical 1000l tub does can anyone advise how long the tub would be out of action for ? Is this more effective than non chlorine shock ? Thanks**
A: Only a day at the max. You can shock the pool in the evening and you can swim the next afternoon.

**Q: My pool is very green due to algae will get rid of the algae please**
A: Yes but the amount required will depend upon the volume of water.
Mix the shock dose in a bucket of warm water, start the filter pump and pour the mixture into the pool at various points.
Leave the pump running for at least 6 to 8hrs initially during which time you should see the water begin to clear.
 If the pool is badly affected more than one treatment may become necessary.
The dead algae will collect on the bottom of the pool and the should be vacuumed to waste.

These granules arrived as expected and do the job as required. I would recommend buying a mask when using these granules - as with any other similar products. If you stand downwind when preparing a dose, you could get some calcium hyperchloride in your throat; not nice or healthy!
