I like them because I always know which soda is mine, and no fly/bee/bug will land where my mouth goes. Sometimes the lid feels stuck, but you just need to turn the topper a little bit. If you hand wash your dishes I can see where these toppers may be a little difficult to hand wash due to small and narrow spaces. They are not 100% leak proof. I’ve had bits of soda leak out of these many times. But it’s not a huge issue. I think they look like baseball caps without the visor/bill, so I think they look a little bit wired…but I still like the toppers! My family really only drinks Coca-Cola and Mountain Dew. I seem to have the base attached correctly, but the soda goes flat.** A: When placing the QuikTop on the can, you should hear clicks from the two sides firmly seating on the can top. This engages the seal on the bottom of the QuikTop with the top of the can. Then, screw on the QuikTop lid to lock in carbonation. One thing to note is that can tops vary across products, as this is based on the cannery and their specifications. If you are moving the QuikTop from one can top style to another, this can affect the seal. You can also run the seal under warm water to soften and "reset" the seal. It's a 50/50 whether that works. They worked fine, at least as well as my makeshift plastic bag with a snug glass over the top, but they look nicer and fit better in the refrigerator. My old one suddenly stopped working, it would go on a little rougher, but I had a really hard time getting it off, as did my husband, to the point of being unusable. I bought new ones since I figured mine was broken. Same problem! Eventually I realized that the top of the cans of soda I always buy (Coke) have changed... There is a slant just inside the top instead of going straight down and that is what is causing the problem. I then saw the same new top on 7-up cans, from a different company. This may be the same issue with all new cans, but these are the only ones I have seen. Please check the top of the cans you want to use these on.
