No idea what to do!** A: Your flat will be earthed at the distribution board/fusebox. It could be that the cpc/earth might be loose in the socket. When I use mine, with UK polarity, the lights are bright and correct. When used in used in Europe, with ‘reversed’ polarity, they’re much dimmer, but visible in daylight, and show the reversed polarity. However, the loss of a star is due to the statement on the back of the packet the plug came in, which states: "The testing covers most common situations except when the Earth and Neutral conductor are reversed".
