I do not make pies. So why the pie dish?It has a variety of uses, mainly, for me, storing cooked food in the oven, keeping it warm until the next items are ready to be served with it.  It can be used for pretty much anything you want as it is robust and sturdy and oh so easy to clean.Size wise, most folks can press their whole hand into the base of the dish and it is around 2 inches high.
