This is a serious book — in both size and content. The 7th edition is well put together, with a sturdy hardcover and quality pages. The layout is clean, and it even includes some coloured plates like the Rose Cross Lamen early on, which really stand out.As for content, this is not light reading. It’s a full-on deep dive into the teachings, rituals, and structure of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. If you’re already familiar with some basics of the Western esoteric tradition, this book will take you much further. If not, it might feel overwhelming at first — but it’s worth the effort.Whether you’re interested in symbolism, ritual work, Kabbalah, or magical theory, this edition offers a lot. It’s definitely more of a reference or study book than a casual read.
