I don’t play those, however, had a friend that played one and he preferred flat wound. **Q: Silly question but how do these look compared to other steel bass strings? They sound bright, even after 6 months. (I'll be buying more soon, don't worry.) They feel very strong, though relenting on your skin. As someone who plays finger-style, I can't recommend these enough. I personally prefer these over Ernie Ball and D'Addario - the only breaker in this deal is the price. If you're touring and need to change strings every fortnight, (or weekly! ...shudder), the price will become hefty. For the studio?
