Affordable and Compact USB Speakers with Decent Sound
I’ve been using the Logitech OEM S150 2.0 Speaker System for a couple of weeks now, and for the price, it’s a solid set of speakers that deliver more than expected, especially for those on a budget or in need of a simple, no-fuss option for basic audio needs.Design and Build Quality:These speakers are compact and lightweight, perfect for a desk setup where space is limited. They have a clean, minimalist design that fits well alongside my monitor and other peripherals without taking up much room. The build quality is decent – while they’re mostly plastic, they don’t feel too flimsy. The USB connection for both power and audio is convenient, especially if you want to avoid using a traditional power socket.Sound Quality:For a 2.0 system at this price point, the sound quality is pretty good. The audio is clear for general tasks like watching YouTube videos, streaming music, and making video calls. While they lack heavy bass and won’t impress an audiophile, they do a fine job for casual listening and basic multimedia use. The volume gets reasonably loud without distorting, but they’re not designed for filling large rooms with sound.Ease of Use:Setup couldn’t be easier – they’re plug-and-play with no drivers required. Just connect the USB to your computer or laptop, and you’re ready to go. The volume control buttons on the front are easy to use, though I do wish there was a bit more fine-tuning ability, as the jumps in volume can be a bit noticeable at times.Portability:One of the best things about this system is how portable it is. Because they’re powered by USB and so compact, I’ve taken them along on trips to use with my laptop. They don’t weigh down my bag and offer much better sound than my laptop’s built-in speakers.

Great for the price.
Used on our laptop for movies and the occasional concert and they work fine. Liked the fact there is no power lead as it just hooks up to the USB port. Could have been little louder and that's why it's not 5 stars but really for this price they are great. If you want high volume and thundering bass then these are not for you. They are really best used when you are sitting in front of the laptop and not trying to fill the whole room with music. If it does not work straight away then read the manual that comes with it. There is a setting in Control Panel/Sounds which may or may not be turned on on your computer. Simple to check...it tells you how. I liked the small carry case it comes in. It means you can pack it away very easily and don't have leads and speakers cluttering your lounge floor after you've put the laptop away.6 month updateMy 30 year old amp died to I've been using these on the main computer for radio & CD's until the amp is replaced. Everything I said above still stands but I do find them a bit irritating after a few hours. But then I am used to a normal amp and speakers. Occasional listing, fine...constant listening, not so fine. But as I said perfect for occasional listening on for laptops.Very portable. Recommended.

Astonishing
I've been a musician for 25 years. If you want bass, forget these. If you have cloth ears, forget these. If you just want speakers that thump and hiss, forget these. if you want speakers for an incredibly low price that bring out the emotion in the music, don't even read to the end of this review, order them. When they arrived, I was immediately disappointed. The cardboard box from the postman was too light. "These can't be the speakers. I hope they're not the speakers", I thought. They were. Opened the box. Too small. Too light. Damn. Will have to send them back. What the hell, might as well listen to them. Got all the polythene off them eventually, plugged them in. Set the audio options so that the ugly 'USB AUDIO' was selected. Opened iTunes. Hit play. Hey, these aren't bad! They're pretty musical. Within 30 seconds I heard things in a tracks I've listened to dozens of times that I'd never heard before. Wow! Put on something with a lot of bass. There wasn't a lot there, but what there was seemed pretty accurate. Played through bits of 20 or 30 tracks I know very well. I'd have been perfectly happy listening to them all the way through. The wire between the speakers is about a metre in length The only reason these cost a tenner is that they're light and plastic and cheap to manufacture. Otherwise they ooze class. I'm going to buy another pair to carry around with me and keep these for my bedroom. Biggest bargain I've seen for a long time. Just wondering if I can find a sneaky way to add a subwoofer to add in the bass...

WOW! Just amazing!
I needed some cheap speakers for a pc test build and didn’t need audio quality. I was expecting some very bad quality speakers but I did not mind for this super cheap price. I turned it and I was speechless. For just over ten quid I got amazing speakers and the quality was amazing. The sound had amazing clarity and the build was not cheaply built or flexing. The size is perfect and the value for money is insanely good. Just wow!

So quiet
Picked this up as my old Creative speakers died after 16 years. The size is perfect for me desk and they between my monitors.Plug them in and worked immediately. However, despite my best attempts they are very quiet even at max volume, so not good during the day where there's other noise around the house, but they do ok for an evening when things are quiet.I have had to route my sound through my TV which I have above my PC, the sound quality isn't as good, but I can at least turn up the volume to an audible level.I guess they are ok for the price... but if you want speakers which you can hear... get something else.
