It is very easy to play with a low action and no fret buzz at all. Ibanez clearly care about their reputation when they take this amount of care with their budget guitars. The neck is very slim and the fretboard is flat which lends itself to string bending without the choking that can occur on guitars with rounded necks. While it has two humbucking pickups and no single coil, position 2 of the selecter switch enables only one of the coils in the bridge pickup. Position 4 enables a single coil in each of the pickups. Posistions 1,3 and 5 work as you would expect with bridge pickup, bridge+neck and neck respectively. So you have the best of both worlds and there is a lot of variation and a huge difference between the humbucking and single coil positions. I think this guitar has a beautiful contemporary look and is unbeatable at this price.
