I also did this all quite lastminute, so didn't have a chance to return it and buy a bigger one. It worked well though. I suspect the dodgy icing is more due to this being the first time I've ever iced a cake rather than the spatula being somehow broken or wrong. Next time, I'll definitely be buying a full sized one though.
