Actually, I DID sleep on it as soon as I finished putting it together…and woke up hours later covered in drool. Yeah, this thing is the real deal. I’m so pleased with the performance of this topper. It fits my twin mattress perfectly and doesn’t give you that weird feeling of “you’re gonna fall off” when you sleep on the edge of it (like some air mattresses do). It also looks really nice and elegant. The topper itself is super soft, so if you were to just throw some sheets directly on top of it, it would probably feel heavenly. I would wake up with terrible pain in my hips if I slept in my bed for more than 10 hours. I don’t experience that with this mattress topper. It’s always a gamble ordering a product like this without being able to see it in person first. With that said,, I highly recommend. Very sturdy memory foam. It adds another 3-4 inches to you bed height. The straps keep it locked in place really well. Very comfortable for me as a side sleeper and my hubby as a back sleeper. It’s medium firm. It did have a bit of an odor when we first opened it.
