The little beeps are soft enough to not be unduly irritating, and they guide you right to the points. I find that really I can only consistently get very good reads for points on the face, hands, legs and feet, but that includes a lot of points. Other places like my back I can find the points but not nearly as exactly. That said, I was amazed that my lower back stiffness was greatly reduced by stimulating a few points on my back. I do wish the batteries lasted a bit longer or that your could plug it into the mains. The low-battery light went on after just a couple hours of use. But it is a lot cheaper than an acupuncturist.
