Review: a very reasonably priced set of decent hole saws from Bosch - If you need to drill an above average diameter hole you basically have to choose between a hole saw, a spade bit or an auger style bit. The latter are a fair bit pricier but generally more effective. This is a very reasonably priced set of hole saws from Bosch. I thought the case was OK. Used two sizes so far - a clean cut but hole saws do blunt pretty fast as a rule. Probably easier to control than a spade bit but depth is obviously limited. With any of the different types of hole saws mentioned here I would highly recommend fitting a side handle on the drill or at least gripping very firmly with your non-trigger hand - if these bits bind or jam, which they often do, you get pretty vicious twisting kick back on your wrist, so be careful. The saws come covered in loads of oil - and for a reason, hole saws are prone to rusting. Can't comment on long term use at this point.
Review: Does the job, but for how long? - Bought this to cut a couple of holes in the back of existing cabinet so I could feed plugs into 4 gang adapter inside. I can't say anything other than it is easy to use and did a nice job of cutting two clean holes. My slight concern is that did notice the second hole took a little more effort as cutting teeth appeared to lose a bit sharpness. Happy to recommend for one-off job but wouldn't be quite so confident about long term, repeated, use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hole in one!
*by P***M on 9 April 2026*

Great set of hole cutting blades. Worked first time on my electric drill, leaving a perfectly circular hole to thread wires through an Ikea storage unit. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this. Okay the actual storage box isn’t marked up as Bosch, but the cardboard cover does state it’s Bosch, so good enough for me… also, hardly any oil, just enough.
