They are very good for producing a variety of calligraphic hands. They are great quality and he is writing nicely with them. Having a range of inks and pens is great as he can try different styles and has some cartridges spare. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for a beginner but there are quality issues. *by A***S on 14 April 2019* I've recently decided to get back into calligraphic writing after a long break away and wanted a set of reasonably priced, good quality, cartridge pens to use to help me get my hand in again to writing (I have a gorgeous dip ink pen set that I had used for years but wanted to have flexibility to take pens with me when I travel so I can practice without the hassle of packing bottles of inks). After reading the reviews here I made the decision to purchase this set.My overall opinion after using them for a few weeks is that they are good enough quality for a beginner/for travelling with. The ink colours provided are nice and clear (I particularly like the red and green) however, the range of nib sizes are on the small side for me. I like to write with larger, chunkier letters and in blackscript but all the provided nibs are too small for this font. They are good for cursive calligraphy fonts though. The pens are very light, and feel exceptionally cheap compared to some budget options available.The major issue I have had is with ink flow in the 2.1 nib. It is sporadic at best, working for a few strokes and then drying out. I have cleaned the nib and chamber and tried with a different ink cartridge yet the issue remains (frustratingly).Hopefully a second wash through with water will resolve the issue but if not then I'll have to look for an alternative. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pen set *by L***N on 11 May 2019* Love this pen set - easy to hold and enhances my italic handwriting .
