Review: Nice sturdy little boxes - As pretty much all reviews say - these are great little boxes. Sturdy and compact, perfect for 100 12g shells (more if you remove them from their boxes and stack neatly inside). With 4x25 boxes inside there's still a bit of room for other bits and bobs like earplugs, a knife, chamber flags, thinks like that. Very handy to throw in the car and to keep ammunition stored safely. The seal is a bonus - they should keep all but the worst rain out I reckon. It's also worth knowing that if you have more than one, they stack together vertically too. The desertcart prices are quite high however, I'd avise shopping around and checking out local stores - you may well find them cheaper elsewhere.

**Q: What are the inside dimensions?**
A: The box wasn't for me, but I know that it holds 4  12gauge boxes of cartridges each box containing 25 cartridges.

**Q: what is the maximum weight this can withstand carrying?**
A: I don't know the actual weight, but my son fits 100 heavy duty 12g shotgun cartridges in his case.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Will it lock with a padlock?**
A: Yes.  There is a small tab to the right hand side of the clasp which will enable a padlock to hold the case secure.    Just be aware that a determined person could prise up the other corner and gain access to the contents if they really wanted to.

**Q: Is this supposed to have a rubber/silicone O ring in the lid ?**

Keeps cartridges safe and dry. It stops the box from falling apart. I also use it on the rifle and pistol range.
