## Description

Review: Prime - arrived next day packing sturdy and appearance of quality - Prime - arrived next day packing sturdy and appearance of quality. The actual device is slim and stylish. Fitting was easy, I have mine on the resting on the dashboard connected to windscreen by 2 suction cups and a bracket which inserts into back of the device. Took me 30 mins to feed cables from car power outlet, so that they were unseen and I was happy with the position of the Skyway on the dash. Could quite easily take someone else 2 minutes, I just like to have all cable out of sight's view. Instructions on setup are fine, you can google what each feature is/does in vast amounts of detail, if you wish to. If you are happy with the fact that this things detects virtually all speed traps that the UK and probably Europe has to throw at you, then just 'plug & play'. Some reviews mention that the display becomes obscurred in bright sunlight, well what doesn't? I find that very 'picky' indeed. This is a good product that works and won't break the bank and could potentially save you points on your license, fines to boot and also insurance increases! What the Aguri Skyway is not, is an excuse to drive irresponsibly!! We all stray over the limit on occasions, well this little gadget just might help from being caught and remind you to lower your speed. Hope this helps, I don't think you will be disappointed if you decide to purchase one these things. Cymru am Byth!!
Review: Excellent device - After attending the speed awareness course, i figured I'd invest in a detector to save further hassle in the future. After a number of days seriously looking into the various models available, I came across this one with good reviews. I've now owned two of these devices, as the first one had a faulty suction mount and had the unlucky scenario of it sliding across the dash and out of the passenger window after 3 days. Lets talk about that for a minute... On this second unit, the suction windscreen mount has a two stage click; a small one that requires less force to locate, and a second one that really holds the device secure which requires a bit more force to engage. Once it is fully locked in, there should be 10mm between the detector and the curved bend in the mount. There is no way the device will fall off, whether it's it's your standard soft suspension in a Fiesta or something stiff like a track kit car, the latching system inspires confidence. Shame the first unit didn't work like this and the manual did not really cover how well the mount holds the device and only to ensure it's securely mounted to the window. (not a complaint, just an observation) After looking at seller feedback when i contacted Aguri support, I did see that another buyer had experienced the same so possible there's a few poorly constructed units out there in regard to the mount mechanism. Hopefully some new & old owners will see the above and get them to check the mount system before potentially loosing their purchase like i did. the unit itself does not feel cheap, and buttons do not feel like they'll fall apart any time soon. I have played around with the various sensitivities on the unit but found the factory default detection setup works well. Other cars with radar have not triggered the unit, i've had very few false positives (auto doors do trigger it when driving around the carpark in-front of shops), but in a way i like that as it shows the device is working and can be used for testing. The device is plenty loud enough with it's alerts and it also seems to have an 'end of threat'. Definitely does it for GPS location cameras but since I've only had the device for a few days, not been able to tell if this is also on live detection (K-band/laser) yet. Visually, the display is clear even in sunlight. Update of GPS database was positive; downloads were fast - a few minutes at most. Speaking of updates, i did notice that when i connected the device to my PC, it asked if i wanted to format the device. I chose not to (didn't know the consequences of doing so, so i left it alone), updated the GPS db via the Aguri tool and everything worked as expected. I really am struggling to find a fault with the unit, or Aguri support. Impressive all round. Maybe a light sensor so the display auto-dims based on ambient light but that would be icing on the cake!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful product, works as intended, bad display design.

An interesting device, here's my review. I bought this from an awareness standpoint more than anything, I'm a fairly high millage driver, but I'm often going to places I'm not familiar with and would rather be made aware of anything that is going to cause me to slam on my brakes before I see it. Despite all best intentions (and abiding by the speed limit on the whole) my first reaction when seeing a speed van or camera, is to jump on the brakes (regardless of speed). So tough luck for the driver behind me driving too close! Easy to install; I mounted mine to the windscreen next to the A-Pillar, low down, although placement is probably quite critical. There's a balance to be had; placing the unit where it will be most sensitive to sources, vs not obscuring your view forwards. It has a rear detector, which sometimes goes off, but it is not particularly sensitive to the rear due to me/car seats/ rear seats etc blocking the sensor. You can configure it for your country, switching off the unnecessary bands which I have done. Despite the filters, you'll find driving through town quite interesting. Most traffic lights and most shop door ways use K-Band radar to detect traffic/stop accidents. They WILL set this device off all the time. Luckily there is a mute button and a volume rocker. The display is hopeless and a bad design. Not only does it capture sunlight with its shape, it also generates a lovely refection on the windscreen at night. There's a stealth mode, which dims the lights to off which is good. But it's ultimately a shame, because these devices that use GPS, offer greater speed accuracy than your speedometer which is often under clocked. You can update the database from time to time through a computer (I used a Mac which is also supported). You will occasionally get false-positives from LIDAR (cars with adaptive cruise control, or collision avoidance) This has happened about 4 times in 1 month (driving every day). Mostly on country lanes where you come face to face with another car. Other than that, I've been quite pleased with the performance so far. Granted, the Laser element probably only confirms you have been caught (laser speed detectors operate at times measured in fractions of a second). But its useful to know where the risk areas are and whether or not you are being targeted.
