I immediately suspected my measurements, so re-checked only to confirm that I was 100mm short. I measured my cladding planks after some head scratching to discover that they were 2600mm in length. This accounted for my problem, and will now result in having to put a false ceiling in at extra expense! However he expressed doubts over their strength, intricate cuts for thermostatic shower fixings etc needed great care. He thought he'd test rigidity and strength on the off cuts - with very little pressure you can put your finger nail through the skin!
