If you switch on without a cable plugged in to the Aux port, it announces 'bluetooth mode', if you do the same but with an input cable inserted, it announces 'AUX mode'...very clever and simple really... **Q: Does the usb power a chromecast audio?** A: It works with Bluetooth for phones etc but if you want to use it as a surround sound amp you can plug an aux into it and plug the chrome cast in the TV.
