Put some cardboard behind the chain to protect the wheel and also try to collect what's dripping, on that too. Then, I use compressed air to blow it out dry but if not available, an old cloth will do to dry it and remove what is left. The last thing is to apply the chain lube, not too much, just to cover it. I use Motul Road of Factory Line. Few spins of the wheel and leave it for half an hour to dry. This is how I do that and it doesn't mean it is the only way. **Q: Can this be used on a mountain bike** A: I wouldn't buy it specifically for a mountain bike but if like me, you have a motorbike and a mountain bike, then yes it works on all chains so why buy two different cleaners? **Q: Is this ok with o and x ring chains** A: Hello,Yes I can confirm it is safe with o and x ring chains.Many Thanks **Q: Is it ok if you get it on brake discs?** A: You can use brake cleaner to clean chains, but I'm not sure how well chain cleaner works on brake discs.
