Also my guess is they are trying to say that there is no battery included. This unit does required one AA battery. I would suggest they find someone who speaks English to write the description of the product for them, as it probably was made in China. **Q: is this a outdoor mechanism for outdoor clocks** A: If the clock is an outdoor clock then the mechanisms will be. **Q: How long will one new alkaline battery work without replacement?** A: Impossible to accurately answer. A lot of difference between Sunbeam economy batteries purchased at the dollar store and a premium battery such as Duracell or Energizer. The power draw on these quartz clocks is minimal. With a good battery I would anticipate between 9-12 months. I used a gold inexpensive Harbor Freight brand battery with mine and so far it's lasted almost 4 months. **Q: My second hand moves but hour and minute hands don’t movr. Solution?** A: If the hour and minute hands don't move try cleaning the mechanism with a delicate flow of air using a liquid dispensing bottle pump without any liquid in it. This air will displace any dust that may be jamming the mechanism. If that doesn't work; you've got a defective mechanism - return it for replacement. BTW, these mechanisms are prone to short life MTBF due to their delicate structures. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing value and quality, worth it *by on Reviewed in the United States 18 August 2026* Very happy with the assortment of parts needed for clock movement replacement. The hands appearance is better than what was original, and the clock movement is smooth and works well. Very easy to assemble and fit perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quedó perfecto *by on Reviewed in Mexico 19 February 2024* Muy satisfecho con el producto, fácil de instalar , la medida exacta , y trae varios tipos de manecillas para escoger, muy recomendable ## Frequently Bought Together - 2Pcs Quartz Clock Mechanism Kit, Wall Clock Mechanisms Mattery Powered Replacement, Clock Movement Parts Motor Replacement DIY Repair Parts with 5 Set Hands (No Battery) - TIKROUND Include Hands Quartz DIY 12888 Wall Clock Movement Mechanism Battery Operated DIY Repair Parts Replacement - Clock Numerals Kit DIY Digital Clock Numbers Arabic Number and Roman Number for Clock Hands Replacement Parts Clock Accessories in Black Silver Gold (6 Pieces) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pe/products/476803544-2pcs-quartz-clock-mechanism-kit-wall-clock-mechanisms-mattery-powered](https://www.desertcart.pe/products/476803544-2pcs-quartz-clock-mechanism-kit-wall-clock-mechanisms-mattery-powered) --- *Product available on Desertcart Peru* *Store origin: PE* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
