Took maybe a half hour, and that includes the actual β€˜tuning’ to make it perfect for closing and latching the darn door. Just make sure you PRESS, NOT TURN, the Allen key into the hole to release tension to open them up for install. I misread it and was trying to crank it out. I’m not very good at reading directions... but if your like me and read reviews better, then I hope I helped ya out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great solution for a door closer *by D***O on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2017* Great solution for a door closer. I didn't want an external piston-based one. It was very easy to pop off the old hinges and replace with these hinges. They work well. Word of caution: be very careful when releasing the springs as they are very powerful. I initially put too much tension on them and had to release the springs to start over. Bam, the Alan wrench spun out of my hand and pinned my finger to the door. This was very painful.
