As far as sun goes it really doesn't do much and I haven't found any sunshade to really do much - but this is to protect your controller sticks and screen when you store it. This is because there are not anchor points on the top of the RC controller and that is because there’s no place for them (unless the hood can be redesigned to accommodate top anchor points).If it had that, you wouldn’t have to hold the back of the hood to open it and I would have given a rating of 5 stars instead of 4.Edit: 5/14/23Today I had a thought pop into my head when I was flying earlier. How bout using double sided 3M sticky pads to hold down the top portion of the sun shield hood. So that’s what I did and now I don’t have to hold the hood in the back to open it. It is now secured by using the double sided sticky pad. Looking at my attachment, you can see the sticky pad between the hood and my controller.
