## Description

Why goCoax? Because MoCA Is All We Do. While other brands treat MoCA as just another product in their lineup, goCoax is built from the ground up around MoCA technology — from home networking adapters to carrier-grade MoCA Access controllers and CPEs deployed by internet service providers. That depth of expertise flows into every product we design, every firmware update we release, and every support ticket we answer. WHAT THE MA2500D DOES It turns your home's existing coaxial cables into a 2.5 Gbps wired network. No drilling, no new wires, no WiFi dead zones. Just plug it into a coax outlet, connect an Ethernet cable, and you're online — with wired-grade speed and reliability. 2.5GbE ETHERNET PORT The MA2500D features a true 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, so there's no bottleneck between MoCA and your device. You get the full bandwidth that MoCA 2.5 was designed to deliver. WHO IS THIS FOR? Gamers who need ultra-low latency (3ms vs. 10-50ms on WiFi) Families streaming 4K/8K content in multiple rooms simultaneously Remote workers who need reliable video conferencing Smart home enthusiasts connecting cameras, NAS drives, and media servers Anyone using WiFi mesh systems who wants a wired backhaul for better performance COMPATIBILITY Works with: Comcast/Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon FiOS, Optimum, WOW, and most cable/fiber ISPs Not compatible with: DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-verse (satellite-based coax) Requirement: Your home's coax outlets must be connected through a central splitter Cross-brand: Works with any brand's MoCA 2.0/2.5 adapters — no vendor lock-in SPECS MoCA Version: 2.5 | Ethernet: 1x 2.5GbE RJ45 | Throughput: Up to 2.5 Gbps | Latency: ~3ms | Max Nodes: 16 | Coax: F-type connector | Dimensions: 5.47 x 2.76 x 0.71 in | Power: Included AC adapter IN THE BOX 1-Pack: 1x MA2500D Adapter, 1x Power Adapter, 1x Coax Cable, 1x Ethernet Cable, 1x Quick Start Guide 2-Pack: 2x MA2500D Adapter, 2x Power Adapter, 2x Coax Cable, 2x Ethernet Cable, 1x Quick Start Guide NOTE: Minimum 2 MoCA adapters required to create a network. Everything you need is included — just plug in and go.

Review: Works great, compatible with other brands like TP-Link. - These are an excellent alternative to Powerline Ethernet, which works reliably only 20% of the time. MoCA works a 100% of the time. Make sure that your coax splitters are capable of more than 1GHz. 3-way splitters often have one -3dB port and two -7dB ports. -7dB works better - it's higher attenuation, but wider band. Make sure you terminate unused ports with a 75Ohm terminators. Also keep in mind that they have a slightly higher latency - I'm seeing a 4ms ping round trip time on these.
Review: Set up was easy once I fixed my router… - Works perfect. Only needed one because I have a MOCA enabled router. Set up was a pain, only because my router wasn’t enabled for MOCA even though CS told me the default setting was enabled. And then I couldn’t access admin portal so I had to factory reset my Gateway, access admin portal and what do you know - MOCA was disabled. I have a cable box in the closet right next to my office and a wall port right next to my desk. Bought a splitter on desertcart, have the unit set up on my desk, no wires all over and I’m hardwired for work.

## Features

- [2.5Gbps SPEED FROM THE MoCA SPECIALISTS] goCoax is built exclusively around MoCA technology — from home adapters to carrier-grade MoCA Access controllers and CPEs. The MA2500D delivers the full 2.5 Gbps bandwidth of MoCA 2.5 through a dedicated 2.5GbE Ethernet port, turning your home's existing coax cables into a blazing-fast wired backbone. No new wiring, no compromises.
- [LAG-FREE GAMING & 4K/8K STREAMING] No more WiFi dead zones or buffering. MoCA runs through your home's shielded coaxial cables for a rock-solid wired connection with under 3ms latency (vs. 10-50ms on WiFi). Stream 4K/8K in multiple rooms, game competitively, and video conference — all at the same time, without running new Ethernet cables through walls.
- [PLUG AND PLAY — EVERYTHING INCLUDED] Zero configuration needed. This 2-pack kit includes coax cables, Ethernet cables, and power adapters — everything to get started right out of the box. Connect one adapter near your router, the other near your device, and the MoCA network auto-configures in seconds. Works alongside your existing modem, router, and cable TV. This is NOT a modem or router — it extends your internet to any room with a coax outlet.
- [WORKS WITH COMCAST, SPECTRUM, COX, FIOS & MORE] Compatible with most major cable and fiber internet providers. Connect any Ethernet-ready device — PCs, gaming consoles, smart TVs, NAS drives, or WiFi mesh systems (eero, Orbi, Google Wifi) as a wired backhaul. Works with any brand's MoCA adapters — no vendor lock-in. Supports up to 16 nodes for true whole-home coverage.
- [IMPORTANT: CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY] To work properly: 1) Your home needs existing coaxial wiring connected through a splitter. 2) NOT compatible with satellite TV systems (DirecTV, DISH) or AT&T U-verse. 3) A MoCA PoE filter (sold separately) is recommended at the cable entry point for optimal security and performance.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this be compatible in an existing coaxial network using actiontec ecb6200k02 adapters?**
A: I actually tried to add this GoCoax adapter to my existing MoCa network (which has been running perfectly for several years now) that had two ecb6200k02 adapters on it, and it really caused a lot of problems. The GoCoax and one of the Actiontecs are alluded to connect to wifi routers to extend my home network, and they would freeze up after a while, and I would have to unplug and then plug it back in. After a week of messing with the network and all the adapters, I was finally able to track the problem back down to the GoCoax adapters. Interestingly, one adapter would work fine, but once I added both of them, the problems returned. I eventually just gave up, and bought an Actiontec Bonded 2.5 and removed one of the goCoax adapters, (meaning there is now a bonded 2.0, 2.5, and bonded 2.5 all on the same network) and everything works perfectly, just like it used to.

**Q: Can you just connect the adapter's ethernet port to an existing router and use a standalone coax cable to extend the connection to another room?**
A: Hello, very interested but here we don't get modems/routers with coax, so I'm wondering if this would work

Moca 1

Router to Moca 1 via ethernet, Moca 1 to coaxial socket on wall

Moca 2

Moca 2 to PC via ethernet, Moca 2 connected to coaxial socket on wall

Thank you very much.

**Q: Does the ethernet port support Power over Ethernet?**
A: No.

**Q: What's the maximum length this product can transmit over coaxial? Trying to push an internet signal about 500 ft and have around 50/mbps speed.**
A: What kind of coaxial cable are you using? Is there a splitter between the two MoCA adapters?
The suggested attenuation between our device is less than 55 dB. For RG-6 cable, the attenuation of 500 ft should be about 40 dB, our device should can work normally.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Die Lösung
*by A***R on 17 March 2026*
