If you're head is "between" sizes, I'd suggest going with the smaller option. The color isn't quite as brown as I would like; I found the acorn color to be something between brown and khaki, with a very slight green undertone. Also, Stetson states that this hat includes a feather in the band but my hat did not; not that this is a deal breaker. While this hat is crushable, I found the felt to be fairly stiff.
