Two items that alarm me about this case one is opening it for the first time...I read the directions and it says "use the key that is provided insert in hole and twist left or right." First off there is more than one hole on this case! The hole I used was where there was a cut out for the charging port. I don't know if this was "The hole" to use or not. It takes a lot of pressure to unsnap it and I had swore I broke the case...but in checking it I found that I did not so I continued and later found another place (maybe I should have used) and that hole was on a corner. One other item is the mute button on the side it is a very small dial and I have found that even slightly touching it will cause the phone to be muted and you don't know it until you check your hone and find out you got calls or texts. I think this phone case looks slim. I especially like the protection on the four corners. I dropped my phone on concrete one time , it gave my phone very decent protection. Also, the build in screen is very easy to type. Lastly, the built in metal on the back allows me to use my magnetic car mount. Since the iphone 8 plus is very big, having the build in metal is a bonus.I work at a school, so washing my phone in this case under tap water is an easy way to kill germs.
