I guess I received a faulty pair because the new ones are working without any issues now and are charging correctly. These were exactly what I'd been hoping to find for the basement, especially with how you can detach an carry them. They worked great for about 4-days and then they stopped working, the light stays on for about 2-seconds before immediately turning back off, even when they've been fully charged. I am especially upset because now I have 4 screw holes in my wall since the adhesive didn't last a day.
