This folding thermometer is compact for easy storage. The large 0.60” display has a blue backlight for easy readability. Probe is thin at the end to maintain essential juices from escaping food. Important: thermometer will be hot after use. Use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot thermometer. Thermometer probe folds away for convenient storage.   SIMPLE & CONVENIENT: Accurate and quick temperature monitoring from -40ºF to 396ºF and -40ºC to 200ºC. Built in carrying hole and on/off switch   HELPFUL HINTS: Digital thermometers are NOT meant to be left in food during cooking. The plastic and electronic components could be damaged with excessive heat.   BATTERY INCLUDED: One (1) LR44 battery. Remove insulation tab to activate thermometer before first use.
