My friend is 280 and I'm 240 and we're just newly acquainted so...very sturdy frame!!! **Q: What is the under bed clearance?** A: Just over 14.5”. **Q: Can you attach a headboard?** A: The bars at the head and foot of the bedframe are solid metal. I suppose you could drill holes to bolt on a headboard, but I don't know what that would do to the integrity of the bar. Probably fine. But use cutting oil and a bit meant for metal, because the material is very thick. It might be easier to attach the headboard to the wall, if that's a possibility. Or you could fashion some clamp system. There are ways if you're creative. **Q: Can you use bed risers** A: I purchased the twin XL frame. It is very sturdy. The legs are rectangular bars with the β€œfoot” (the part that touches the floor) being approximately 2in by 1/2 inch. I would think you would be able to use risers. But I remember the risers having an large square area on the top to accommodate different size feet. Putting it together was pretty easy (it helps that I have ratcheting tools with the right size hex bits). It does not flex at all with a mattress and a person on top. It's for our son, who is like 70 pounds, but when I get on it doesn't move either. The weird thing is that it's like 1-2 inches larger each way than either full mattress that we put on it, which are 53 inches wide. Perhaps there's some disconnect between bedframe sizes and mattress sizes?
